Got Milk?
Heavenly Chocolate Cookies. Photo & Graphics by Equalizer
For some reason, I'd rather keep this as a heavily guarded recipe. Or I'm just trying to create an excuse for not remembering the exact recipe to this amazingly delicious and soul warming cookie. I was never fond of cookies, maybe because I never had fresh ones. I simply love it when its warm and the chocolate ooozes out like volcanic lava.
What surprised me the most about this cookie is that the amount of chocolate in it is simply unfathomable. The cookie dough could take it all and not give in. It holds up well when baked and keeps everything together. The sweet crunchy creamy texture of the cookie is complimented with a warm soft velvety smooth milk chocolate chunks hidden in pockets all over.
Ok I will not write the recipe but I will tell you what it has. It is up to you to figure out the rest. I will give you a few hints though.
Flour
Self Raising Flour
Dark Brown Sugar
Butter
Egg
Milk
Milk chocolate chips
Milk chocolate chunks from any chocolate bar. (Galaxy does well)
Cocoa Powder
Peanut Butter
Vanilla
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Tips:
Mix equal amounts of butter and sugar
Add flour until dough becomes thick and sticky
Bake at 180 degrees celcius for 13 minutes
Amount of chocolate equals amount of dough
Good Luck!

that's just pure evil.
sharing is caring you know !!
btw I just baked some 3 days ago .. a craving that came over me at 12:30am and by three .. they were scumptious and the aroma.. needless to say ..devine :)
!@#$%
why isnt there any chocolate chunks on top?
LOL! You're just like me with guarding your favorite cookie recipe. The dark brown sugar must give it a hint of molasses and make it moist. Some people swear by melting the butter first before incorporating it into the sugar. I wonder if you did that... I just noticed the recipe has peanut butter in it. YUM! I don't think I could be down with the cinnamon and nutmeg though - sounds like a Mexican combo to me, which a lot of people like but I only like it in Mole. :)
Ray: tell me how it goes!
3abeer: LOL I can't share what i dont know :p so how about you share yours?
Erzulie: And you got better food selection there? :p
Fayoora: Like m&m's melts in your mouth not in your hands !
Stinni: Don't gard your recipes! share them :) I love dark brown sugar because it has flavor as well not just sweetness. I also use muscovado sugar, which doesnt add much color but adds a creamy flavor. Don't be scared of the cinnamon and nutmeg, its only a trace that gives it a deeper character, and no it doesn't make it a Mole!! :)
you first..
and don't give me the " I don't know"
show me yours and I'll show you mine :P
LOL
yummy!! seems very delicious! i will try to bake it, but the calories dude!! i'll eat it and starve myself for a week after :p
thanks for the recipe :D
Going to your blog reminds me of Pavlov's experiments.
3abeer: Well I can't abandon my chivalrous nature, so I ask that ladies go first ;) Then I will show you mine..
Reem: A good suggestion is to excercise and burn it!! Don't starve your self, that will lower your metabolism.
D: 7aram 3alaich its all written down! use a bit of imagination ;)
Erzulie: Well all images of food are sensory stimulis but how people react to such stimuli is totally unpredictable. It is a good idea to log thousands of peoples reactions over a blog to certain images. Salivate over sugar food, get bad thoughts over others hehe etc etc People wouldn't comment about the recipe / pic but rather click on the reaction they got. Now that is a Pavlovish Experiement :p
no... no... seriously I INSIST!!
please do the honors and go first..
share with us .. it's seems like eveyone's eager to know your recipe not mine :P
Oh God!
YUMMY YUMMY..
I ADORE COOKIES!

equalizer ...
there are no words to describe what i'm feeling right now.
OK OK people I will give you the recipe, but it is not final, as I do it according to texture and consistency, so it needs a bit of adjustment until u get it right.
Method:
Melt 1/2 cup butter and mix with 1/2 cup dark brown sugar until you get a paste. Whisk one egg with 100 ml milk and add to mixture. Add 1 tbs cocoa powder, 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg and 1 1/4 cup mixture of regular and self raising flour. Make sure mixture is sticky. Add 2 tbs peanut butter and loosly mix. Add chocolate chips and chocolate chunks in equal amount as the dough.
Heat oven to 180 degrees celcius and scoop one tbs on wax paper and give enough spacing and bake for 14 minutes.
There you go!! ;)
P.S. you still need to make minor adjustments to suit your tastes.
hey ... i used the same ingredients :D heh ! but i added one more TBS of chocolate powder.
+ made some creamy chocolate dip to be served together.
i'm thinking of using molasses next time instead of dark cane sugar ... i would be more chewy and tasteful...
ok ... i'll have to stop talking about chocolate now ., i'm starving :P
Thank you.... FINELY!
;)
