What a great idea. If it were real, I would be first in line to subscribe. English language magazines in Kuwait, with the exception of Bazaar on a good day, suck. I think there are a lot of us who enjoy fine dining, design, and travel. To have a regional magazine featuring articles about what Kuwait has to offer would be a "good thing".
People you all have great ideas!! It is the readers that make a magazine successful. What is the point if you have a magazine that the editor is the only judge of the content? Recipe for disastor.
The more circulation a magazine acheives, the more it can charge for advertisements. A magazine bought is different than a free magazine. Unfortunately all those free ones given out at Starbucks and the like are so bad, that you just leave them there.
......or use them to start a fire.
P.S. This is not real, just a sample of what it would look like. Maybe I will do one every month, and do the actual contents in here on the blog.
I want to subscribe ! just to add on some... - How to eat smart and healthy - Recipies - serving size - the best places to visit in cities. that's all I can think of right now. And you can have different people right certain topics that would be posted in there too.
Zaydoun: Time and resources can be found, the question is can you execute?
Sheba: I don't know what he would say, he probably wouldn't like it :p In the mag cover I was reffering to the Lebanese Ramzi not Gordon Ramsay hehe. If you ask me what I think, I'll just lick the plate clean.
Have you seen Australian Women's Weekly .. ??? i think it would have around the same idea.. and its VERY successful .. personally i collect them :) http://magshop.com.au/Australian_Womens_Weekly_Cookbooks_Books.htm
message from bahrain: 1. love your idea of the magazine 2. make it regional, and also include your travels and recipes from those travels ,just like here 3. im in a book club and one girl who loves to cook, replicates recipes from the books we read. today it was afghanistan (just an idea) 4. i read goodfood(bbc) would be nice to have a regional version of it 5. i love home-made recipes, hunt them down im sure you'll be amazed at how much you'll find , better than any good restaurant some of these recipes ;)
Anonymous: Well your points are all good, the rpoblem is having enough people of the right caliber to work in such a magazine. The people with proper culinary experience and taste in the region are unfortunately not much. Look at Chef Ramzi, with all due respect, I dont find anything special isn his cooking. He just knows how to do the basics thats all.

10 best ways to personalize your "Ma3booch"
Fluffy: your choice of "seasonings" are too strong, just as strong as the gas burst of a spoonful of wasabi :p You are fond of ma3booch very well. :)
